On my way to work today I saw an old Ames trailer being hauled! I immediately remembered that just this week I was telling a story to Rem and used Zayre as a landmark! The funny thing is, she knew EXACTLY what I was talking about.
Ah, the good old days. It got me thinking; if you grew up in the Attleboros you'll remember some of these:
My favorite restaurant: Peg Leg Pete's (so sad they closed)
My favorite fast food: Arthur Treachers (yes, I love seafood)
My elementary school: Lincoln School
My middle school: S.A.M.S. (F Coelho!)
Local Amusement Park: Jolly Chollys
The local "fancy" restaurant: Brook Manor (bad memories)
Favorite stop on the walk to CCD: penny candy at Wild's
The local grocery store: Almacs
Rosies pizza...need I say more! Once a South Attleboro tradition!
Mr. Engler at the old South Attleboro Post Office....man was it small in there
Schaefer Stadium, I mean Sullivan Stadium, I mean Foxboro Stadium, I mean Gillette Stadium
Great Woods will always be Great Woods!

I just watched an awesome documentary on PBS about Rocky Point.....good stuff!!
