An Evening With Bronson

Bill and I went to Showcase Live! at Patriot Place to see Bronson Arroyo and his band last evening, one of my Christmas presents. You remember him, the tall white guy with the corn rows who pitched for the Sox. When his CD first came out I bought it and loved all the covers. Bronson strictly rocks and plays his guitar. His voice isn't perfect but it's good. Plus....he's HOTT! I've been wanting to see him sing live for about 3 years now so was super excited and the show did not disappoint.

We got to Showcase Live! before the doors opened at 6pm because for Seated Shows (as opposed to Standing Room Only) you can have a full dinner. Plus, by getting their early we got a decent seat, based on your ticket purchase. Our seats weren't bad, we were behind the sound board. I had to dodge the sound guy every once and a while but it was all good. The place is so intimate, there isn't a bad seat in the house. The sound system was excellent as well.

We were lucky enough to sit next to a great couple, Heather and Bryan from Lowell. Heather is CRAZY let me tell you. We became immediate friends...for as shy as I am, she is my complete opposite. Heather's husband Bryan was more reserved like me and he and Bil hit it off great.

After the show we stood in line for a t-shirt and a CD. I already have his CD but needed something for him to sign! Bronson signed my CD and also took a picture with me. As Bil was taking our picture he said, "Have we had our picture taken before?" "To which I replied, no this is our first time."......Ahhhh......HAHAAHA! Bronson is pretty soft spoken and seems to be a genuinly nice guy. I can't wait until he plays another gig in New England!
