Chicago Sightseeing

Our first afternoon we took Chicago's version of the "T", the "L", to Wrigleyville. We were hoping to scalp some tickets but seats are tough when the Cubbies are in first! So we bar hopped instead. The first pic is outside across the street from Wrigley....pretty cool seating for private parties! The second pic is inside the outfield at Wrigley.

This first pic is of Bil on the phone....again at the second outdoor bar! Nik and I have countless pics of Bil on the phone but you've all witnessed it so I'll spare you. The second pic is the first place; a cool outdoor bar in an alley attached to the restaurant.
Here we are at the Beer Garden at Navy Pier listening to a live Reggae band. I have a 'rita in my beer cup!

Here we are on Sunday at Navy Pier with Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline in the backround. Bil's brother Jim met us (Bil is older....kidding); this second pic is us standing on the stairs leading up to the huge ferris wheel and other rides.
After Navy Pier Jim really wanted sushi but was afraid to ask. Once he mustered up the courage Nik and I were like, "Hell Yeah"! Jim coerced us into ordering a whole bottle of sake...which we finished and still were able to walk out of the restaurant. We actually ate, had more sake left and were still hungry so ordered more! Jim did get Bil to try a piece of tuna!

After sushi we walked to Millenium Park, the second pic. A few Sunday's a month they actually have a yoga class in this park!

In Millenium Park there is this cool huge wall that is a fountain and displays realistic pictures of people! Kinda freaky but cool at the same time. Finally in Millenium Park is The Bean, the second pic. Below is us taking pictures of our reflections.

This guy outside Grant Park was priceless....I didn't notice that he was only wearing one shoe until after I got home and really looked at the pic. Hell, at least he is honest. The second pic is of some of the hundreds of porta-potties at Lolla. I can honestly say that there was actually TP in them Friday and Saturday, not that it mattered after lots of drinks but still. I refrained on Sunday, from the porta-potty that is!
Betcha didn't know my mom made pizza at Lolla!

This picture was taken on our walk from sushi to Millenium Park. We stopped on the bridge over the Chicago River. Ahhhh....love, isn't it grand? Puke!
On Sunday we went back to Milleniun Park and ate at the Plaza Grill, outdoor dining then headed to Lolla. Here are some cool pics of Buckingham Fountain at night.

We were planning big things for our last day on Monday....Navy Pier, a high speed boat ride on Lake Michigan and the Amazing Fun House. Unfortunately it rained :( So instead we went up 103 floors to the top of the Sears Tower. Even though it was cloudy the view was amazing. This pic is of Lake Michigan. You can also see the Lolla field in Grant Park and also Soldier Field where Da Bears play over to the right.
Boo hoo...it was finally time to go home. Here are Nik and Bil with there "to go" cups at Midway. They actually let you get drinks in plastic cups and walk around! What a concept!
